Bixin has now officially supported SegWit. Bitcoin address displayed under Bixin’s receiver page has been upgraded into SegWit address. The old address will still work when the new address is in use, but we strongly recommend that you use SegWit addresses to handle your deposits and transactions, and update your Bixin wallet address saved on other sites such as wallets, exchanges.

SegWit is a major improvement to the bitcoin protocol. It optimized transactions and witness data, so that block size can be significantly reduced and more transactions could be included in each block. It could bring cheaper fees and faster transactions.
